This 2016 edition of Samsung's Galaxy J1 sports a low-resolution (480 x 800) 4.5-inch display , despite rocking the brand's signature Super AMOLED technology (marketed as a less-power-hungry alternative to IPS). Its cons also include a 1GB-only RAM and a pair of unremarkable CMOS cameras (5- and 2-megapixel).
That said, the Samsung Galaxy J1 did leave a bit of space for a few pros. These include specs like a 128GB microSD card slot (8GB internal memory) and Samsung's Smart Manager application , the latter letting you keep track of things like battery level or performance all in one place. Also, considering the number of other entry-level Androids that do not have such feature, its 4G LTE connectivity sounds like a decent selling point.
At the end of the day, however, the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016's pros and cons still make it a starter-class smartphone.
