This 2016 edition of the Galaxy J2 tries to make up for its cons in terms of technical specs with a couple of software pros. These include Smart Glow , which basically lets you color-code various alerts using its LED notification ring, and the Turbo Speed Technology (TST) , that promises to load apps up to 40% faster than models with twice its RAM (it has only 1.5GB of RAM ). S Bike also joins in, by letting bikers control incoming calls by priority while riding.

That being said, it offers an 8-megapixel main camera limited to HD-720p videos only and has no more than 8GB of native memory . Additionally, it could have done better than a 2600mAh battery capacity , though we assume this is why Samsung put its signature Smart Manager in place.

Other things inside its bundle of pros and cons include an up-to-128GB microSD allowance (something its low internal memory can fall back on) and a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU, with a 5-inch HD screen tying everything together.

Basically, the Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 is armed with budget-tier features, but at least, it introduces a couple of fresh perks from Samsung.
