While we cannot help but wish it had a Full HD (1080p) resolution on its 5-inch Super AMOLED screen (instead of HD-720p ) and rocked something better than a 1.2GHz quad-core processor , the Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro sounds like a passable budget-tier 2016 Android overall.

It is armed with a 16GB memory that can be expanded by up to 128GB , while a 2GB RAM assists its middling CPU -- most of its entry-level rivals settle for 1GB RAMs. It is also NFC-enabled and it sports an 8-megapixel f/2.2-aperture FHD-video main camera . Lastly, the J3 Pro is preloaded with Samsung's Smart Manager application , which lets you track the phone's performance, storage, and power consumption all in one place.

In the end, the Galaxy J3 Pro's pros and cons are no more than of middling caliber, but most of its specs seem up-to-date, at least as of its June 2016 release.
