Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime Pros & Cons Review

The Galaxy J5 Prime delivers several relatively-fresh pros from Samsung alongside a few shy cons, consequently sounding like a mid-end 2016 smartphone.

Unlike its J7 Prime sibling, which runs on eight CPU cores and has 3GB of RAM, the J5 Prime dials it down to a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU and only 2GB of RAM this time . It also loses the J7 Prime's Full HD resolution and 8-megapixel f/1.9 selfie camera, replacing them with an HD-720p-only definition and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 selfie cam accordingly. That being said, its specs also include a 16GB memory expandable by up to 256GB , a fingerprint reader coupled with Samsung's S Secure suite , and a 13-megapixel f/1.9 primary camera . Additionally, its 2400mAh battery capacity , though unimpressive, also features S Power Planning and Reserve Battery Mode .

So, while it is almost no different compared to many other middling 2016 releases when it comes to technical pros and cons, the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime's massive top-up memory support and preloaded software should get the ball rolling for those who want a middle-class smartphone.
