Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, by Samsung

Noteworthy may be a slight understatement for the Galaxy Note 4, as it clearly levels with other premium-end Androids in terms of performance, display and features. Right off the bat, we are not over-enthused about the weight of the latest Note: 176 grams make it blush against the iPhone 6 plus and its 113 grams (though, admittedly, it reportedly bends, but still...). And its 3.7-megapixel selfie camera is a nice effort, but it shies of the 5 megapixels offered by other recent phablets like Lenovo's Z2 Vibe and Alcatel's Hero 2.

But no worries, we are not all cons on this interesting phablet. We like pros like Samsung's choice of a metal frame (perhaps inspired by iPhones or HTC models), matching its promising 2.7GHz quad-core processor , a 3GB RAM and a 32GB native storage nicely. The 515ppi on its Quad HD display also makes us happy. Its 16-megapixel main camera records 4K-videos, an increasingly popular perk but still a pro by 2014 standards. The multi-window feature for multitasking will likely attract techy workaholics as well.

Verdict: the Galaxy Note 4 is quite a generous (but heavy) package specs-wise and, for its well-balanced pros and cons, it will likely be seated alongside other 2014 flagship phablets.
