Ulefone Future Review & Pros And Cons

Ulefone's 5.5-inch Future flexes some flagship-class muscles, in the form of a large 4GB RAM and a Helio P10 eight-core CPU running at 2GHz , but its cons make it sound less-futuristic than we had hoped.

Despite touting a 16-megapixel dual-tone-flash Samsung camera , the Future only records FHD-1080p videos at best , which does not sound very impressive, compared to some of its rivals' UHD-2160p video-recording capabilities. It also forgoes a Quad HD (1440p) screen resolution , sporting a Full HD definition instead, even though its bezel-less Gorilla Glass 3 In-Cell LTPS screen architecture sounds like a very good venue for the former.

On other fronts, the Future comes with a favorably-low 0.226 SAR rating (the average was around 0.75 when it came out) as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner . It also offers 32GB of memory expandable by up to 128GB and a 3090mAh power cap that we think could have been bumped up to 4000mAh, given its hardware composition. That being said, its 9V/2A quick-charging system , which claims to replenish its full cell capacity in just 60 minutes, is obviously a pro. Rounding out its pros and cons are an aluminum-titanium alloy housing and a modest (for a 4GB-RAM phone) 5-megapixel selfie camera .

So, even though its specs don't necessarily come from the future, some high-end Android shoppers, especially those who are most-keen on performance, should find the Ulefone Future a timely purchase.
