Running on vivo's signature Funtouch OS (version 2.1) , which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the 4.5-inch (854 x 480) vivo Y15S tries to give the typical entry-level formula a slight twist, with pros like an up-to-128GB external memory support as well as the Smart Wake swipe-to-command feature. That being said, it almost feels weird not seeing 4G LTE on the pros and cons list of a 2015 pitch from vivo. We also find its 1900mAh battery power somewhat underwhelming, knowing that many other budget-class Androids (as of its release) have 2000mAh or higher in the tank. Its 5- and 2-megapixel cameras don't thrill us, either.
Still, for users who are just now looking for their first Android phone, the vivo Y15S might be worth a look.
