ZTE Allstar LTE Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Allstar LTE, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

While it boldly claims to be an allstar, this prepaid pitch from ZTE does looks more like a has-been to us, especially with cons like a 1GB-only RAM and a run-of-the-mill 1.2GHz quad-core engine among its specs. In addition, the ZTE Allstar LTE is relatively heavy at 6.1oz , as the average smartphone weight when it came out floated somewhere around 4.8oz.

On a positive note, its LTE (4G) capability puts it slightly ahead of many budget-class prepaid contenders. The 780-minuted talk time promised by its 2300mAh battery was also slightly above-average (around 660 minutes) as of this write-up, though the opposite is true for its 288-hour standby period (roughly 370-hour average).

Wrapping up its pros and cons are entry-level cameras (5- and 2-megapixel) as well as standard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, making it an average extra, instead of the allstar Android actor it apparently dreamed to be.
