ZTE Altair Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Altair, by ZTE

In an era where smartphones (and even some feature phones) spec sheets are almost as complicated as the mile-long ingredient lists of most junk foods, the ZTE Altair's info page seems rather brazen in its simplicity. It is a messaging phone with a large QWERTY keyboard that is said to be user-friendly. You can use it to access your e-mail, or take photos with a 2-megapixel camera, which you can view on a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 TFT screen. It can store up to 256MB of those photos (or even music and videos), but if that feels too cramped, you expand it to a maximum of 32GB. It has a single-core 230MHz processor, a 128MB RAM, and its 1000mAh battery can last 300 hours or 12 days on standby (which is a little low - we have seen some feature phones that last over 500 hours). That's about it. And for some people, that might be a very good thing, indeed.
