ZTE Avail 2 Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Avail 2, by ZTE

By releasing another Avail that now runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread and packs a 2-megapixel camera instead of the previous 5-megapixel one, ZTE and AT&T seem to have taken one step forward and two steps back (or in this case, three megapixels back). But since people interested in the entry-level category probably are not looking for a smartphone that they can also use on a photo shoot, this might not be a deal breaker. And fortunately, there are other improvements too, like a 4GB internal memory (from the Avail's mere 512MB) and a 524MB RAM (the first one had 512MB).

So computing-wise, the Avail 2 probably will not be considered a downgrade - just have a back-up camera for the precious moments (or for celebrity stalking).
