ZTE Blade V7 Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Blade V7, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

Rocking a 5.2-inch 2.5D-glass display the Blade V7 represented ZTE during the MWC 2016.

Its specs include several high-end pros, but a few cons drag it down to mid-level norms. These include its lack of a fingerprint reader , despite its Lite edition having no problem in that aspect. Also, considering the 3000mAh (or higher) power caps boasted by several other MWC 2016 pitches, this Blade model could have done better than a 2500mAh battery .

As for its pros, the ZTE Blade V7 combines a 2.5D-arced glass finish and a curved full-metal body that measures only 3.5mm on the thinnest point. It is also home to a 13-megapixel PDAF camera with a dual-color LED flash , an octa-core 1.3GHz MT6753 processor with 2GB of RAM, and the Smart Sense gesture control suite . Finishing off its mix of pros and cons are VoLTE (voice service over LTE networks) and the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, both sounding good-enough for a 2016 mid-tier contender.
