The ZTE Max Duo takes its name from the chic dual-lens (13- and 2-megapixel cams) setup gracing its rear side, which only a handful of other Androids offered as of its release. This high-end imaging pro is complemented by a maximum video-recording resolution of 4096 x 3072 that is more-promising versus what the majority of 4K-video-enabled models offer (usually just 3840 x 2160).
Sadly, its 2GB-only RAM (we expected at least 3GB of RAM, considering its specs) and 16GB internal memory aren't on par with its cameras, but at least a 1.5GHz octa-core processor and a 3500mAh Quick Charge 1.0 battery try to make up for those cons.
The rest of the Max Duo's pros and cons include a attractively-low 0.25 SAR rating a 6-inch Full HD Gorilla Glass display , and an up-to-64GB memory expansion support -- many comparable high-enders allow up to 128GB of microSD storage.
To wrap things up, while the Max Duo could have done better in terms of hardware and memory, its dual-back-camera technology and expansive screen may just be enough for the budding digital videographer.
