If it is named like a starter smartphone and it looks like a starter smartphone, is it a starter smartphone? And is it a good one? Consider the ZTE Overture's specs: Android 4.1 operating system, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4-inch 800 x 480 TFT screen, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB storage memory, and 1GB RAM. They do seem rather respectable - we especially like the slightly faster dual-core processor. However, we find the 300-hour (about 12 and a half days) standby time of its 1780mAh battery a bit low, considering that other smaller batteries give almost the same time.
All things considered, it is probably not too big a stretch to say that it looks like a solid smartphone aimed for users that still need a bit of hand-holding.
