Will people think the sun rises and sets on the ZTE Solar? Possibly not. Will some of them consider it a good starter smartphone? Possibly. After all, it does report higher numbers than other phones in its category. Like the 4.5-inch 800 x 480 TFT display, the 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, the 2070mAh, and even the 768MB RAM. However, it does not allow tethering (which is rather unusual these days), and it has a 5-megapixel camera and a 4GB memory (which are ... well, usual). Which may cause some disappointment, but probably not enough to eclipse its other respectable specs for a basic smartphone.
