While the ZTE Source's name is a bit of a head-scratcher (what were those marketers trying to insinuate, exactly? Or does something spring from it?), the fact that it is a mid-level phone is clear. Its Jelly Bean OS (4.1) is not the latest, it is powered by the 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, it has 5-megapixel camera, and its TFT display measures 4.5 inches. We like that its 2070 mAh battery offers a reported 15.2 hours of talk time though, and that its video recorder has a decent 720p resolution. Its 4G LTE capability is also a nice addition considering its price. Finally, we are glad to see that even a basic prepaid smartphone like this beats the latest iPhone 5s on screen size (4.5-inch compared to just 4).
