Despite sizable improvements over the previous model, the iPhone 5 keeps Apple's usual shortcomings: No DLNA, HDMI, no standard USB charge plug or Memory expansion slot. That said, we do like the Bluetooth 4.0, the larger, 4-inch display that is still retina with a DPI over 300, the faster CPU (Apple says it can be up to 2x faster than the previous one) and the HD front camera.
On-paper Review score:
It's all well and good that the iPhone 5 can record high-resolution 1280 x 720 movies, but we were disappointed not to find any evidence of the iPhone 5 featuring an HDMI port (which is convenient to watch HD videos on your shiny HDTV.)

Our research didn't show that the iPhone 5 had a slot for memory expansion.
It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.

The iPhone 5 sports a 4.0-inch display at a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, which boils down to a 326.44 DPI image. It's above the average of roughly 225 DPI.
It includes an advanced built-in camera (8-megapixel (iSight)) with the following options: Auto-focus, Brightness, Face Detection, Geo-tagging, Panorama.

It records video clips at 30 frames per second, which is a high-enough fps rating by today's video phone expectations.
The talk time claimed by the manufacturer (480 minutes) is higher than the average talk time. Though battery-life ratings are not necessarily measured the same way by each manufacturer, this is an interesting indication that the iPhone 5 may last more than other phones.
