Samsung Galaxy Reverb Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the Samsung Galaxy Reverb, by Samsung

This Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone includes some nice features, such as a 4-inch touchscreen, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera (for video calling), and a memory expansion slot with support for up to 64GB MicroSD. It does not have 4G, however, which could have made this a much better phone.

On-paper Review rating:

First, the Cons:

Ordinary front cam:

By today's standards, we demand more than just 1.3-megapixel of selfie cam resolution.

Just a TFT?:

TFT displays are ok (they used to be the best option), but in such a high-end phone, we prefer AMOLED, or even SuperAMOLED displays, known for their brightness in sunlight, richer contrast and lower energy consumption.

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we could not find its weight information.

Pros:

Reasonable radiation:

We've seen phones with a lower SAR rating, but 0.69 watts per kilogram of body mass is honorable, on a scale that goes from 0 to 1.60...

High talk time:

Its talk time of 480 minutes is among the highest. Though battery-life ratings are not necessarily measured the same way by each manufacturer, this is an interesting indication that the Samsung Galaxy Reverb may last more than other phones.

** This phone is also known as: Samsung M950, Virgin Mobile Galaxy Reverb
