Alcatel's Pop series appears to have taken a dark turn, as the Pop D1 brings back some pretty dated specs by 2014 standards. Among its cons is the relatively small 3.5-inch HVGA display 
, as many other entry-level models have at least 4 inches of screen space. It also lacks some pop hardware-wise, being limited to a 1GHz dual-core processor with only 512MB worth of RAM to match. A 3-megapixel main camera is also quite a letdown for a 2014 release.
As for its pros, a two-SIM capacity 
is always a nice touch for basic models. The Pop D1 will also likely come out of the rock-bottom price range , which could turn out to be a non-neglectable pro for practical shoppers.
