The LG Fiesta 2, as you may have guessed from its name, is a sequel to the LG Fiesta (which also goes by LG X Power 2) that retains the original model's stamina-driven specs list. That being said, this Fiesta edition is marred by some cons that we found quite hard to digest. These are led by its HD-only (1280 x 720) display resolution and low-class TFT architecture (many higher-ranking smartphones rock IPS or AMOLED screens), both of which sound quite problematic on a 5.5-inch interface.
Sitting right beneath its inauspicious screen is a large 4500mAh non-removable battery , which is obviously the crux of its mix of pros and cons, not to mention that it makes the Fiesta 2 a solid contender for a spot in our list of smartphones with big batteries. The aforementioned cell promises up to 28 hours of talk time (1680 minutes) , which was over 112 percent higher versus the average talk time as of this on-paper review. Its 25-day standby time sound just as reassuring as well, eclipsing the corresponding average value by a little over 85 percent.
Despite its battery packing a pretty heavy punch, the Fiesta 2 mimics many budget-class prepaid smartphones from TracFone when it comes to hardware, disappointing us with a modest 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) processor , consequently missing out on the mid-range octa-core trend around the time of its market entry (Discover some notable octa-core smartphones here). It also does not go beyond 2GB of RAM , whereas several other models with tantamount power caps lug at least 3GB on that front.
As for its other pros and cons, the Fiesta 2 boasts a whopping 2TB external memory support that makes its 16GB internal memory sound less lackluster to us -- some of its contemporaries start out with 32GB of native storage. In terms of imaging, it sports a tolerable 13-megapixel main camera opposite a 5-megapixel selfie cam that tries to make up for its low pixel resolution through a front-firing LED flash as well as features like Gesture Shot and Beauty Shot .
The Fiesta 2's feature set also includes signature LG perks like the Knock Code/Knock On phone locking system and the QSlide multitasking application that top it off as a middle-class prepaid smartphone for shoppers who value battery life span and multimedia storage the most.
