Apparently a re-brand of the Galaxy J3, the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime visibly does not amp anything up, since its cons include a sub-par (by 2016 standards) pair of 5- and 2-megapixel cameras as well as a middling 5-inch HD screen
, the latter at least crafted with Samsung's signature Super AMOLED
technology. In addition, it runs on a basic 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and comes with only 1.5GB of RAM
, which honestly could have been amped up to a full 2GB.
The Amp Prime's most-resounding specs include a 2600mAh battery that promises up to 1320 minutes of talk time and a 77-hour music playback capability . Also among its pros are a 16GB memory expandable by up to 128GB
and an Easy Mode feature geared towards first-time smartphone owners.
In essence, the Amp Prime's pros and cons fall under the budget Android category, but its self-attributed battery scores and memory sound prime-enough to us.
