Just like its big brother, the XZ2 Compact's cons also include a disappointing 5-megapixel-only selfie camera whose resolution does not echo 2018 high-end standards. In comparison, many of the best selfie smartphones rock 13-megapixel-or-higher front cameras. We are also unimpressed with its 64GB maximum internal memory , though this one is not that big of a setback, given its up-to-400GB external memory support .
As for its pros, this Compact edition is equipped with a similar 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera as its bigger sibling, delivering the sophisticated (as of this specs-based review, that is) super slow-motion video capture capability of up to 960fps as well as 4K (3840 x 2160) HDR video-recording technologies, which means that it potentially joins our list of the best phones for photography or film-making .
