A 364.9-gram-heavy high-endurance Android phone tailored to field workers in various industries, the Ulefone Armor 3 bullies some leading big-battery phones when it comes to raw battery capacity, packing a monstrous 10,300mAh battery infused with the PE+2.0 quick-charging technology. Its battery specs include a 66-hour talk time that was more than 370 percent higher than the industry average as we were reviewing this Armor edition's pros and cons. It also scores a 1300-hour maximum standby time that translates to roughly 54 days and it is enabled for reverse-charging using a USB-OTG connector.

By the way, this Ulefone model is offered in a variant (Armor 3T) equipped with a two-way radio function -- otherwise known as walkie-talkie , for field personnel who require an instant mode of communication with their colleagues.

The Armor 3's 18.15mm-thick armor , although bulkier versus those of many competing rugged smartphones, appreciably passes IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G rugged certifications , which basically means that its physique is dust-tight, waterproof, and resistant to accidental drops onto concrete from up to 1.2 meters. Also, it comes with a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display finish , although its 5.7-inch FHD-1080p 387ppi screen is nothing to call home about.

Looking into its hardware components, the Armor 3 became one of the fastest smartphones within this category when it arrived, running on MediaTek's Helio P23 eight-core 64-bit engine, which peaks at 2.5GHz . Alongside its CPU is a Mali G71 graphics engine and 4GB of RAM. Sadly, we flagged its 64GB-only internal memory as a slight con, knowing that some tantamount models featured here on Phonerated come with twice as much internal storage. That said, it does support up to 256GB's worth of top-up memory.

Some of its other pros and cons include a high-end 21-megapixel Sony-IMX230-sensor camera with a dual-LED flash setup and a passable 8-megapixel front-facing camera interpolated to 13 megapixels. It offers two nano SIM card slots.

Offered in either Black or Orange, the Armor 3 is a high-tier rugged phone for those who deal with gritty work environments, such as construction workers and industrial plant personnel.

On-paper Star rating:

First, the Cons:

Unknown weight:

It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.

Pros:

It is billed as a rugged phone (more sturdy, better water-resistance, etc).

Faster processor:

Its processor speed of 2.5GHz combined with 8 cores is part of the fastest.

NFC-enabled:

NFC is used by electronic payments and other applications.

Very large screen:

We're dealing with a hefty display here, making it a phablet: 5.7 inches and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels means about 13.01 square inches and an image quality of at least 387 dots per inch (DPI)!

Very high-resolution photos:

The Armor 3 is one of the rare phones to feature a 21-megapixel camera. It also has these features: Auto-HDR.

Spectacular battery life:

If Ulefone's measurements are accurate, the Armor 3 and its (10300mAh) battery will provide 3960 minutes of conversation, a lot of talk time!

Average front cam:

The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.
