Description:
The 2015 edition of Apple's yearly September event introduced the iPhone 6S (alongside the 6S Plus), a slightly-thicker (7.1mm) 4.7-inch follow-up to the iPhone 6 that welcomes the 3D Touch pressure-sensing technology previously offered by other Apple products to the brand's smartphone lineup. Also, it scraps the 8-megapixel Full HD cameras on the previous four iPhones for a 12-megapixel 4K cam, with the selfie shooter advancing to 5 megapixels and its very own frontal flash, too. Another key tweak is its A9 processor in the engine room, a more capable mutation of the previous A8 chip driving the iPhone 6. The 6S also unveils the 2nd-generation TouchID fingerprint scanner.
In addition to the Space Gray, Silver, and Gold case options, the iPhone 6S offers a Rose Gold finish, fittingly tying up its premium-tier spec sheet.
