BLU C5 LTE Review & Pros And Cons

One of the lowest-specked LTE-ready models BLU's 2017 catalogue has to offer, the C5 LTE suffers the same entry-level fate as its 3G-only variant, being riddled with a bunch of age-old cons, such as a mere 5-inch 854 x 480 (FWVGA) display sitting on a dismal 196ppi pixel density score . It comes with no more than 2000mAh's worth of battery power , which speaks greatly to its starter-class assortment of pros and cons.

The C5 LTE is not a phone to call home about in terms of hardware as well, seeing that it relies on a modest 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor alongside a 1GB-only RAM . Its Mali-T720 graphics engine sounds like a pro to us, though, at least when compared to the Mali-400 GPUs used by many other low-end BLU smartphones . Additionally, storage does not sound too shabby for this 4G-ready low-ender, coming with 8GB of inbuilt memory , which is twice the 4GB-only memories offered by many of its entry-level competitors. It also supports up to 64GB of top-up storage.

Joining its specs are two low-resolution cameras: a 5-megapixel one at the back , and a prehistoric 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera . That being said, both cameras do come with their own LED flashes , with emphasis on the front one, knowing that not many basic Androids offered flash-equipped selfie shooters as of this data-driven review. Note, though, that the BLU C5 LTE only captures HD-720p videos at best , while some tantamount BLU models come with FHD-1080p video-recording capabilities.

Tying the C5 LTE's pros and cons together is a curved glass display finish , which at least gives its mundane screen a bit of flare, and a casing coated in Gold or Black (metallic paint). It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and, like most BLU phones, it comes with dual micro SIM card slots.

Summing up, though LTE connectivity and a decent storage memory lead its strong suits, the C5 LTE stills winds up as a rather forgettable 2017 smartphone that caters largely to buyers who are just learning the ropes of Android.
