OUKITEL C15 Pro Review of Pros And Cons

Cubot's 2019 C15 Pro is a budget-class smartphone that does not quite hit the mark when it comes to processing specs, running on a quad-core 2GHz MediaTek MTK6761 processor , despite eight-core smartphones already being widely available within its price group as of this technical review. Its 2GB RAM count winds up as a con in our book as well, since some closely-comparable Androids pack 3GB or even 4GB on that front.

As for is display, the C15 Pro touts a wide, but low-resolution , 6.1-inch 1280 x 600 IPS screen that's at least furbished by a damage-resistant Asahi Glass panel .

Jumping over to its selling points, this OUKITEL phone feeds off a 3200mAh battery that does not sound too shabby, given its budget-class pros and cons -- it has its work cut out for it if it hopes to join Phonerated's list of the best big-battery phones in town, though, since most models on that list do not go for anything less than 4000mAh.

Also part of its pros is a dual-lens primary camera that's made up of an 8-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, with a standard LED flash and autofocus tagging along. Sitting on the opposite end is a 5-megapixel fixed-focus selfie camera that shudders in comparison to those of the best selfie-driven smartphones around.

A couple more of its appreciable facets include a 256GB memory card slot accompanying its low-class 16GB native memory, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a face unlock feature, the latter being somewhat trendy among low- and mid-end smartphones as we were checking it out.

Joining the OUKITEL C15 Pro's assortment of pros and cons are two SIM card slots, the Android 9.0 Pie operating system, and color options like Purple and Twilight, all topping it off as a viable choice for budget smartphone shoppers looking for a taste of dual-lens imaging.

On-paper Review rating:

First, the Cons:

Unknown SAR rating:

Be it because OUKITEL didn't list the information on its web site or because we were unable to find it, but we don't know the SAR rating (radiation level) for the C15 Pro, so we cannot say how close it is to the acceptable limit.

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we could not find its weight information.

Now, the Pros:

Quad-core microprocessor:

Not only does it clock at 2GHz, it is even quad-core.

High-resolution (8-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel sub-cam)) camera:

It includes a superior-resolution camera (8-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel sub-cam))

Average front cam:

The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.

In-box accessories:

The box comes with: Protective case, Pre-protective film.
