Vertu's first luxury smartphone boasts some unique features, most notably the handcrafted titanium body and the scratch-proof 3.7-inch sapphire crystal display. But it seems like all the budget (A Vertu Ti starts at $10,000!) went to the design since the technical specifications are really just average: A dual-core 1.7GHz CPU, a 1GB RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera. Also, 4G technology seems to be missing.
On-paper Review score:
Granted, the 1250mAh battery will last a certain time, but given this phone's 3.7-inch screen, we would prefer a bigger battery.
It is all very well that the Vertu Ti can record high-resolution 1920 x 1080 movies, but we were disappointed not to find any evidence of the Ti featuring an HDMI port (which is convenient to watch HD videos on your shiny HDTV.)

By today's standards, we demand more than just 1.3-megapixel of selfie cam resolution.

It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.
It is billed as a rugged phone (more sturdy, better water-resistance, etc).
The Vertu Ti features a large user memory (64000MB), but it may sometimes be better to buy a phone with an included memory card instead, since the memory card can then be reused in a future cell phone.
It includes a high-resolution built-in camera (8-megapixel) with the following options: Picture size, Face detection, Redeye reduction, Scene modes (Auto, Action, Night, Sunset, Party), White balance (Auto, Incandescent, Daylight, Fluorescent, Cloudy), Exposure, Flash, Panorama, Zoom.

The talk time claimed by the manufacturer (432 minutes) is higher than the average talk time. Though battery-life ratings could be exaggerated by manufacturers, this is an interesting indication that the Vertu Ti may last longer than other phones.
