Although its name is quite a mouthful, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro is a pretty mild 2017 prepaid Android phone, with a list of pros and cons that marries a couple of low-end cameras with a generous storage memory -- at least in the budget Android class.

As mentioned above, one of its biggest selling points is memory. It features 16GB of internal storage 
, which is twice what we usually get out of roughly-$100 smartphones like itself. More importantly, however, it supports a maximum of 256GB of external memory -- very attractive, compared to the microSD allowances offered by most models in this price range.
Among its other specs are a 5-inch 1280 x 720 (HD) display, which is pretty moderate, all things considered, although we can't help but wonder why it passed up on Samsung's signature Super AMOLED architecture and instead settled for the less-appealing TFT display type 
. Having said that, it does try to balance out its lackluster screen with a 2600mAh battery boasting a couple of impressive battery scores: a 31-hour (1860 minutes) maximum talk time and a 22-day standby time . These scores were obtained within controlled tests conditions, though, so best take them with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, they are pros for any budget-class Android.

Jumping over to its imaging capabilities, the J3 Luna Pro settles for a mediocre (by 2017 standards) 5-megapixel primary camera . Even worse, it stumbles into archaic territory with its 2-megapixel-only selfie cam . Under the hood, it runs on an entry-level 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor , which is accompanied by a low 1.5GB RAM and an Adreno 308 graphics processor -- just the hardware pros and cons we expect from a starter-class prepaid smartphone.

The J3 Luna Pro's all-black design speaks to its simple feature set, but for those concerned with multimedia storage and are shopping on a rather tight budget, it could just to the trick.
